INFORMATION FOR PARENTS
Welcome to the Tearfund Action Pack, a website for children aged 8 to 11. We hope you enjoy having a look around.
This site is designed for children and the articles and content on these pages aim to engage young people with the issues of poverty and injustice, in the hope that they understand that God is deeply concerned for the poor and that if we want to grow and love Him more, we too must get involved with the poor.
We would like to let you know that we value the right to children's privacy online and that we encourage communication between children and their parents/guardians as to the websites they visit and any personal information they may give out. We want to protect children from website operators who might misuse information they collect from young people.
There are no 'online forms' or 'message boards' on this website where children can give their personal details. We request that children contacting us use either our postal address or our email address actionpack@tearfund.org. This is to assist you in monitoring your child's usage of the Internet (for example, you can check the 'sent items' messages on their email system). We also request that children under the age of 13 ask the permission of their parents or guardians before giving out any personal information.
