Good News

Good news for Berta.

Lurdes is a volunteer who has been trained by her church to help local people who have HIV. She visits them to tell them about the medicines that are available and takes them to the hospital. She helps them to grow and cook the food they need, and she reminds them to take their medicine. Lurdes also talks with them about the love of God, and prays with them.

One of the people she helps is Berta. Berta has now got the medicine she needs and is strong again. She can look after her children and they are happy to go to school.

Lurdes has made a big difference to this family. Why does she do it?
