Lovely Limes

At Tearfund we love supporting Fairtrade.
We believe that people should be paid a fair price for what they do and for the food they grow. When we see the Fairtrade Mark we know that people have been treated fairly.

So we’re thrilled that there’s another healthy Fairtrade fruit available to buy in our supermarkets – the lovely lime.

Limes are a similar shape to lemons, but are a little smaller and usually green in colour. They have a sharp taste, and the juice and zest are used in cooking and baking. They are also a great source of vitamin C, which is good for you.

Limes grow on a small thorny bush with white flowers, that is found in countries with warm weather.
