Who? What? Where?

When was the last time you were sick? Did you go to your local doctors? Did you have to take medicine to help you get better? You probably had help from your family to get to see the doctor and to buy the medicine you needed.

In this Action Pack we’re going to talk about a particular illness and the medicines that are needed for it.

The illness is called HIV. It makes a person’s body very weak, so they can’t fight other infections. If people don’t get the right medicines, it can lead to an illness called AIDS, and that can lead to the person dying.

The good news is there are medicines available for people who have HIV. But there’s a problem.
